Realtime Energy Monitor
- This is a simple open-source / DIY (Do It Yourself) electronic device.
- This needs to be installed at the electrical mains line near the main switch inside your home.
- This device continuously monitors the power consumption and registers the cummulative energy units consumed.
- It posts the real time data to ThingSpeak website every 2 minutes.
- The ThingSpeak website is a good utility for IoT projects and it allows storing, reporting and viewing the data logged by the device.
- The device uses standard electronic components like Arduino Microcontroller, ESP8266 WiFi chip board, LCD display etc.
